Eifman pictures

April 14th, 2007

I had a chance to take some pictures for ballet.co at the dress rehearsal of Eifman’s opening night (I’ll be writing on it soon). It was great fun to take pictures I can actually show people! Here’s a link to my Picasa album:

More home improvement!

September 4th, 2006

I took advantage of the rotten weather on Saturday to do some home improvement. I put up one of the big ceramic sconces I’d bought on sale at Mackenzie-Childs in the bedroom, so I could get rid of the decrepit halogen torchiere that’s been teetering in there for years. I have one more sconce, but I’m not sure where I’m going to put it.

still more sconces

Mike’s visit.

September 4th, 2006

It was great having Mike visit a couple of weeks ago. We had a great dinner at Bar Americain, then the next day we enjoyed the beautiful weather and walked down to the Village, where Mike had a chance to play with some amazingly expensive guitars!

Happy Labor Day

September 4th, 2006

Well, another summer’s on its way out. Seems like they never last long enough, do they? Here’s how the cats are celebrating labor day. It’s pretty much the way they celebrate every day. What a life.

The new Apple store is very cool…

May 22nd, 2006

The new Apple store at 5th Ave and 59th St (by FAO Schwartz) is very, very cool. It’s open 24/7, and has great bathrooms, which was my excuse for hitting the store on my morning walk (yes, I’m doing morning walks again). The new Macbooks are very, very fast….

Lovebirds in the Sun

May 7th, 2006

Ok, I couldn’t resist. The cats favorite place these days is the desk in the bedroom where they get to soak up the sun and pretend they don’t hate each other.

The Crabapple tree!

May 7th, 2006

I had a lovely visit, with beautiful weather, and enjoyed the long-lasting spring this year.

I also had a chance to snap some pictures of the crabapple tree from Sarah in full bloom.

You can never have too many garlands

May 1st, 2006

I guess I’ll be done with the Spring redocrating in time for Fall. Oh well. At least I can see the floor now. Mostly.

More garlandsmore garlands

Hmm. There is a lot of space above the mantel still, isn’t there?

Spring has sprung!

May 1st, 2006

There could be worse times to be looking for work than during this beautiful springtime! I’ve been doing work on the apartment (you can never have too many garlands), and getting fresh air. Here’s something to contemplate for when it gets a bit warmer. These are the fountains surrounding the monument to Columbus at Columbus Circle. When it’s warm, it’s a great spot for hanging out. Time to get a mango ice or Mr. Softee:

Maybe I’ll post a gallery of my redecorating efforts. Mom, there’s room for more glassware down here now!
